The conference was officially opened by the Acting Vice Chancellor of the University of Botswana Professor Happy Siphambe and featured other key personalities including the key note speaker, Professor Suzan Marlow, from the University Of Birmingham, UK, as well as Regina Sikalasele-Vaka and Lorato Boakgomo-Ntakhwana from an entrepreneurial background.en_US
dc.description.abstractThe 2019 edition of the conference was themed; Business Innovation and Entrepreneurship: Accountability, Challenges and Competitiveness in Changed and Emerging Economies, and it attracted scholarship on a wide spectrum of topical issues ranging from Management & organization, Finance, Accounting & Taxation, Marketing, Tourism, Hospitality and Events Management, Information Technology & Innovation, Globalisation and Economic Sustainability, Knowledge Management and Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Governance, Corporate Social Responsibility and Ethics and Business Education and Sustainability. The overarching objectives of the conference were to; • Provide a platform to debate on the challenges and competitiveness that changed and growing economies face today in relation to Business Innovation and entrepreneurship; • Reflect on future visions on achieving sustainable growth in these economies • Create an environment for learning and networking among delegates from educational institutions, government and non-government organizations and from small, medium and large Enterprises. The current volume carries all written material, including papers and abstracts, presented at the conference across the 3 days. The conference proceedings section of the volume carries 32 full papers, while the book of abstracts section contains 42 abstracts. All material in both sections were peer reviewed.en_US
